Doyin Okupe, spokesman of the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign council, says the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned him over allegations of cyber crime.
Writing via his Twitter handle on Saturday, Okupe said operatives of the anti-graft agency stormed his house in Lagos over the allegations.
He said operatives of the anti-graft agency insisted that he should follow them without any prior invitation.
Okupe tweeted: “EFCC just stormed my house in Ilupeju Lagos asking me to follow them. No letter. No letter of IV no warrant. Saturday!

“The men from Efcc left my house finally after I promised them that I will be in their office on Monday.”

TheCable reached out to the EFCC for comments regarding the matter but Wilson Uwajuren, the agency’s spokesman, was yet to respond to enquiries made.
MONEY LAUNDERING?

The anti-graft agency has been investigating the former presidential aide over funds he allegedly collected from Sambo Dasuki, former national security adviser (NSA), during the 2015 electioneering campaign.
Okupe had said he used N10 million out of the N100 million he collected from Dasuki to furnish his apartment.

He said the N100 million was paid in two tranches and that former President Goodluck Jonathan authorised Dasuki to pay him N50 million from the former president’s security vote.
