Super Eagles of Nigeria coach, Sunday Oliseh, saw “a very good team” despite the 2-0 loss to DR Congo on Thursday.
Goals from Dieumerci Mbokani in the seventh minute and another from Jordan Nkololo 24 minutes later condemned Oliseh to a first defeat as Nigeria coach in the game played at the Stade de la Cite de l’Oie in Belgium.
However, the coach looked at the brighter side of the defeat.
“We played a makeshift team and we are trying to rebuild. I saw a very good team, we had more possession even though there were shortcomings in certain areas,” he said.

“We lost but (Alexander) Iwobi came in and showed some good signs, Shehu (Abdullahi) and some other players made their debut.
“It has been very difficult for us working here. Our aim is to try to qualify for the (2017) Nations Cup.”
Nigeria will meet Cameroon in their next friendly game in Belgium on Sunday.
