Kola Ologbondiyan, spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says by booing President Muhammadu Buhari, lawmakers have shown that they have no confidence in the president.
During the presentation of the 2019 budget, some aggrieved lawmakers disrupted the president’s speech, disputing his claims by chanting “Propaganda! Lies”.
Reacting to this, Ologbondiyan said the action of the lawmakers signals that Buhari had lost his popularity.
He said the president came into office with a “huge goodwill” but that he had frittered all.

Taunting Buhari, Ologbondiyan said Nigerians have decided against “incompetence, arrogance, hunger, starvation and insecurity”.
“Did you watch @MBuhari budget presentation? The legislators action serves as vote of no confidence @MBuhari came into office with huge goodwill but frittered all. Today, Nigerians have delivered their verdict against incompetence, arrogance, hunger, starvation and insecurity!” he tweeted.

But I think there’s a better way of passing a no confidence vote on the president rather than the disgraceful show of our lawmakers today. It is shameful.
Just a pity that a no confidence vote that could trigger fresh elections is not part of the country’s constitution
