Olukayode Ariwoola, the former chief justice of Nigeria (CJN), and Babatunde Fashola, ex-governor of Lagos, will attend the 70th anniversary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ibadan branch.
A series of activities are lined up for the anniversary that will take place between December 13 and 18 in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
In a statement on Thursday, Mutalubi Adebayo, the head of the planning committee, said the six-day event will begin with a Jumat service at the Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Memorial Mosque in Oke-Ado.
Adebayo said an interdenominational service will be held at St. Anne’s Church, Molete, on December 15.

He noted that Zacheaus Adedeji, chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), will deliver a lecture titled ‘Tax and its administration in Nigeria’ on December 16.
Adebayo added that Wale Babalakin, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), will be inducted as a new patron of the Ibadan bar branch, with the presentation of an award of excellence to newly elevated members of the bench.
Special guests expected at the event include Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo; Lateef Fagbemi, attorney-general of the federation and minister of justice; Aare Babalola, senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN); and Folake Solanke, first female senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

Others are Lucky Aiyedatiwa, governor of Ondo; Charles Olujinmi, former attorney general of the federation; and Afam Osigwe, president of the NBA, among others.
