Bisi Omoyemi, governorship candidate in Ekiti state met with Buruji Kashamu, a senator from Ogun state, on Saturday.
Kashamu was a strong supporter of Ayo Fayose, the outgoing governor of Ekiti, before they fell apart.
Omoyeni also met with the national leadership of the Mega Party of Nigeria (MPN) and Peoples Alliance for National Development and Liberty (PANDEL).
MPN and PANDEL have formed an alliance to present Omoyeni as their candidate.

In a statement, Ebenezer Alabi, the zonal vice-chairman, south west, said under the arrangement, Omoyeni, who is PANDEL candidate for the governorship election, will now run on the platform of MPN.
Prominent political leaders who accompanied Omoyeni to the meeting were Dele Olugbemi, former speaker of Ekiti state house of assembly; Demola Bello, former political adviser to Fayose; Adah Lewis, national chairman of PANDEL, and Kola Adejumo, among others.
Amisu Turaki, national chairman of MPN, led the MPN team which included Leke Adekoya, the national secretary; Adelaja Oguntimirin, national legal adviser; Akaani Olayinka, national treasurer; Ebenezer Alabi, national vice-chairman, south west, and the six states chairman from the south west geo-political zone, among others.

Omoyeni, who hails from Ikere-Ekiti in Ekiti south senatorial district, was a former deputy governor of Ekiti state and group managing director of Wema Bank.
