The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state has postponed the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the state.
Buhari was initially scheduled to flag off the campaign of Rotimi Akeredolu, the party’s flagbearer, on Thursday, but the APC has shifted it by a week.
Abayomi Adesanya, publicity secretary of Ondo APC, disclosed this at a press conference in Akure, the state capital.
He said the postponement was due to the “tight schedule of Mr President”.

“The president wants to be present at the campaign rally in person,” he said.
“This is due to the economic importance of Ondo state in the development of Nigeria.”
Adesanya urged party faithful and the people of the state to give the president a rousing welcome during the visit.
