Agboola Ajayi, deputy governor of Ondo state, has announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
This is coming less than a month after Agboola was defeated by Eyitayo Jegede, a former commissioner for justice and attorney-general of the state, at the party’s primary election for the October 10 governorship election.
Jegede polled 888 votes to defeat Ajayi who had 657 votes.
In June, the deputy governor defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the PDP.
