Ondo guber: Anifowose dissociates self from publication on APC crisis

Jumoke Ajasin-Anifowose, a governorship aspirant in the forthcoming October 10 election in Ondo state, has dissociated herself as signatory to a publication attributed to Segun Abraham in an online medium.

Abraham, who is also a governorship aspirant, was attacked for a publication he e-signed on behalf of aspirants under the Unity group, a faction in the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo state.

The faction is being coordinated by Alli Olanusi, a member of the party’s board of trustees.

He had in the publication emphasised that the party had agreed on certain decisions in the interest of nine other aspirants of the Unity Group.

The publication has so far be debunked by nine signatories of which Anifowose is said to be among.

Anifowose, who expressed surprise that her name could be used as signatory without her consent, condemned the act in its entirety and called for an immediate rejoinder.

“I didn’t participate in the decision of the meeting as published. If I didn’t, I wonder why my name should be included as a signatory to same,” she said.

“Whoever is responsible for this, should please go back to the press and make necessary correction. Exactly what you blamed Dr Abraham for is what you have resorted to.

“I am for a strong and peaceful APC of which the Stakeholders in the unity forum are part and parcel.”

Anifowose, however, called for a common front at ensuring victory for the APC in October 10, 2020, date as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
