Ondo guber: Don’t relax until we secure victory, Aiyedatiwa tells supporters

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, governor of Ondo, has told his supporters not to relax until they have secured victory at the state’s governorship election scheduled for Saturday.

Aiyedatiwa spoke in Akure on Thursday at an event organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign council.

The governor said the remaining hours before the election should be used to mobilise Ondo people to vote him into office.

“We have only one agenda ahead of us and that is to deliver the victory on Saturday because we have campaigned across the state and listened to the plights of the people,” NAN quoted him as saying.

“Let us go back to our communities and continue the work. We must not be complacent, there are still works to be done and we must be ready to finish the work for ultimate victory.

“Just this morning, eight governorship candidates have declared support for us ahead of the election and that should tell us that the people are with us.”

The governor said he would ensure that the state is more developed if he is elected into office.

Dikko Radda, governor of Katsina and chair of special engagement committee of the council, said he is happy with the “level of acceptance of the party” by the people of the state.

Radda was represented by Farouk Lawal, his deputy.

Aiyedatiwa will compete with Agboola Ajayi, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and other candidates for the highest elected office in Ondo on Saturday.
