Agboola Ajayi, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo state, has won his polling unit.
The results from polling unit 04, located in Apoi Ward 2, Kiribo, Ese-Odo LGA of the state, show that Ajayi garnered 194 votes, significantly outpacing Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who secured just 3 votes.
The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) trailed with 1 vote, while 6 votes were deemed void.
This victory in Apoi Ward 2 marks a strong showing for the PDP in the region, with Ajayi benefiting from considerable local support.

Earlier, Ajayi expressed disappointment with the electoral process, claiming that the system had been “compromised”.
He criticised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its inability to conduct a “proper election” within a single state.
The former deputy governor also lamented the state of the election process, suggesting that INEC’s shortcomings are undermining the credibility of the election.
