Ondo SDP rep candidate promises effective representation

Tajudeen Adefisoye, house of representatives candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for Ifedore/Idanre federal constituency, says he will sponsor people oriented bills and ensure that matters that have positive impact on lives of members of his constituency are pursued vigorously if given the mandate.

Adefisoye, while on tour of the wards in Idanre town on Wednesday, said he would pursue his primary functions of lawmaking with vigour and will not disappoint his constituents if voted into office.

The SDP candidate said he meant well for the people of his constituency, saying that this necessitated him to join the race.

“The lower chamber is a clarion house and being a member, you should be able to create an impact that will affect the life of your constituency members, you should be able to contribute and make meaningful laws,” he said.

“I have been in Idanre here for more than 35 years and it’s so sad that we still have the same one way road in this ancient town. Since I began my campaign, I have being to over 301 towns in villages and I realised the people lack basic water, good roads, they have nothing, lacks of the basic amenities expected from the government.

“So if elected on Saturday, I will not only facilitate federal government projects to grow our people and make their life better, I will use my personal emoluments to make our people smile. I will provide portable water, grade our bad roads and bring more development to this constituency.

“I will also institute town hall meetings where I will be interfacing with the people regularly.”

The 35-year-old businessman advised the people to guide their votes on election date and not to vote for those who had been deceiving them over the years.

“On election day, the good people of Idanre and Ifedore federal constituency should be calm, come out to the polling centres early, after voting, they should wait and make sure their votes are counted and should follow it down to the INEC coalition centres,” he said

“I appeal to them to scrutinise programmes and sincerity of those asking for their votes because once beaten is twice shy. And I promise them that if given the mandate, I will not fail them.”
