One person was killed, while two women were abducted in separate attacks by gunmen on two communities in Igabi local government area of Kaduna state.
The two communities are Rago in Karewa ward and Soron Giwa in Sabon Birni ward.
The attacks, according to a source, took place on Wednesday and Thursday.
In Rago, the suspected bandits were said to have abducted two women when they attacked the village around 6pm on Wednesday, while on Thursday they invaded Soron Giwa, killed an aged man and made away with two motorcycles. The gunmen were also said to have rustled cows.

The source said it was unfortunate that despite the proximity of the communities to a military checkpoint and Jaji military cantonment, gunmen were always attacking the area.
According to him, the 24-hour curfew imposed in Kaduna to stop the spread of coronavirus is not being observed in villages, as people go about their normal businesses.
The source added that villages were attacked almost on a daily basis, but the people were no longer keen on reporting the attacks to the police since “nothing came of reported cases in the past”.

“Even if we report the attacks to the police, nothing is done to protect the people, so nobody is keen on reporting the attacks to the police. In Nigeria, it is God that is protecting us and we can only pray to God to continue to protect us,” he said.
Mohammed Jalige, spokesman of the Kaduna state police command, did not respond to telephone calls and text messages, seeking his reaction to the development.
