David Chukwu, a business analyst/consultant and financial accountant has challenged the diplomatic community to only grant visas to persons with demonstrated patriotism and a proven track record of business success.

Chukwu noted that when patriotic people driven by the desire to do legitimate business are allowed to travel, they would help to develop the country of destination and reduce the rate of crime.

He spoke to journalists on the sidelines of activities marking the nation’s 63rd independence anniversary.

He also charged young Nigerians not to go abroad with negative intentions, as crime committed anywhere can be detected.

“Most of the crime we see around the world is perpetuated by people who do not love their country and many of them who do not have the wisdom and capacity to do business.

“I believe that when we prioritise patriotism and knowledge of businesses, people will not have any need to be fraudulent in their destination countries,” he said.

Chukwu has taught over 3000 young people in Agric business and tech startups.
