Barcelona posted a tribute to arguably their best ever player, Lionel Messi, on their Twitter page on Wednesday.
The Catalan giants showed a picture of the young Argentine’s first football license.
With the hasthtag #onthisday, they noted that Messi arrived at Barca 14 years ago as a fresh-faced 13-year-old.
It was retweeted over 1,500 times within an hour of being published.

As well as winning a multitude of personal accolades, including four Ballon d’Or awards, Messi has also helped Barcelona to six La Liga titles and three Champions League victories.
When Messi arrived at the club as a kid, he was immediately identified for his incredible talent, but also his fragile frame.
The Camp Nou club financed growth hormone treatment for the teenage in a move that will go down as one of the smartest in the club’s history.
