Obafemi Martins visits Ooni of Ife

Obafemi Martins, Nigeria and Seattle Sounders striker, visited Adeyeye Adewusi, the newly crowned Ooni of Ife at his palace on Friday.

Martins posted a video of his meeting with the monarch on social network.

He is seen sitting on bare floor right next to  Adewusi, with the king offering him what seemed like advice.

Obagoal, as his Nigerian fans call him, and ‘goal machine’ by followers abroad, has been seen occasionally with the high and mighty in the Nigerian society.

Earlier in 2015, he was seen with key members of the ruling party, APC – most notable of them being President Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The 31 year-old was has been voted Seattle Sounder FC ‘Goal of the Year’ winner.
