Two senior aides to the governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole — Mr. Osama Erediawa and Mr Gaskin Eke — have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Until their defection, Erediawa was the executive director, office of the governor, while Eke was the senior special assistant to the governor on inter-party relations.
Erediawa told newsmen in Benin that he chose the PDP to help the party win the presidential election in 2015 and the governorship election in 2016.
He said that he was not forced or induced to defect, but he voluntarily resigned from the APC and the Oshiomhole-led government.
