Oshiomhole’s victory ‘well deserved’

Gboyega Oyetola, an All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Osun state, has congratulated Adams Oshiomhole and other elected executives of the party.

Oshiomhole emerged at the 2nd national convention of the ruling party in Abuja.

Oyetola felicitated with Oshiomhole in a statement issued on his behalf by Ilerioluwa campaign organisation, his group.

“We join other well-meaning and committed members of our great party, APC both within and outside the state of Osun to congratulate our new national chairman for the successful Abuja convention which produced him and other executives with the task of giving a fresh path of purposeful redirection and repositioning the APC for greater heights,” the statement read.

“We strongly believe in your progressive antecedents as an instrument of dynamic change which was evident in Edo state as an outstanding performer during your eight years tenure as governor, your sagacity and firm principle of patriotism to steer this ship to victory on all sides is the succor that brings joy to our hearts.

“Over the years, you have demonstrated uncommon courage when it matters for the advancement of democratic norms and tenets, we are happy that you are taking over at a time when the polity is in dire need of mechanized and digitalized experienced undertaker to bury the opposition.”

Oyetola equally advised the national executives on the enormous challenges ahead, the need for the party’s internal cohesion and unity aftermath the national convention.

“We must continue to reiterate our unwavering loyalty in the ideals and ideology of APC as this will further strengthen all members of the party across the country,” he said.

“We are all progressives and the elevation of Nigeria among the committee of nations and the success of our great party is what is paramount to us. That is our common goal and that is why we are all unanimous in putting aside our differences and ensure the success of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s led administration.”
