Fresh from winning her fourth African Women’s Footballer of the Year award, Asisat Oshoala, Super Falcons forward, has scored four goals in FC Barcelona’s 6-0 win over CD Tacon.
The Madrid outfit were torn apart in the Women’s Spanish Premier Division league encounter played on Saturday.
The game was the second-ever women’s el clasico encounter following the takeover of CD Tacon by Real Madrid — making it the capital club’s female team.
Oshoala scored twice in both halves, her first goal coming in the second minute.

The 25-year-old Ikorodu-born star, who did not score in the pair’s first encounter in September –which Barcelona won 9-1 — finished off the scoring on 63 minutes after netting the third goal, two minutes into the second half.
Oshoala beat off competition from South Africa’s Thembi Kgatlana and Cameroon’s Ajara Nchout Njoya to win the award, despite meagre vote points from the Nigerian voting contingent.
She also won the award in 2014, 2016 and 2018.

An excited Oshoala had told TheCable after the 2019 CAF awards ceremony on Tuesday night that winning the individual gong for the fourth time was something “special” and “historic” to her.
“It is a special and historic one for me. I am really happy and grateful to God,” she had said.
“I am happy and excited for being crowned for the fourth time as African best player.”
The former Liverpool, Arsenal and Dalian Quanjian forward is currently second in the Spanish Women’s league goalscorers chart with 14 goals from 15 league games.
