Victor Osimhen and Taiwo Awoniyi will lead the attack as the Super Eagles take on Sao Tome and Principe in their final 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification match.

The dead rubber clash will kick off at 5 pm today at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

The Napoli striker, who is the leading scorer in the AFCON qualifiers with seven goals, will have a chance to finish as the highest goalscorer.

In the same vein, Awoniyi is on a scoring spree. The Nottingham Forest striker has netted three goals in four matches for his club in the English Premier League (EPL) season.

The pair will be supported by Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman in the attack.

Jose Peseiro has stuck with most of his regular starters — and left no spot for the new invitees — in what looks like a 4-4-2 formation.

Recalled Bruno Onyemaechi surprisingly starts in defence alongside Semi Ajayi, Ola Aina, and Calvin Bassey.
