Victor Osimhen, Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, extended his contract with Napoli, the Italian Serie A champions, on Saturday.
The 24-year-old extended his stay in Napoli to 2026. His previous deal was expected to expire in 2025.
The Naples club announced Osimhen’s contract extension via X, with the striker seen putting pen to paper and shaking hands with Aurelio de Laurentis, the club’s chairman.
“Victor & Napoli together until 2026 💙,” the club wrote in the post.

Earlier, the goal poacher was reportedly on his way out of Napoli following social media drama by the club’s media team.
In September, Osimhen was mocked for missing consecutive penalties. But the striker has now put the episode behind him to extend his contract by an extra year.
Osimhen is highly sought after by Europe’s big clubs.
The men’s African Footballer of the Year winner joined Napoli in 2020 and has scored 67 goals in 118 matches for the club.
