Osimhen scores hat-trick on Napoli debut
Victor Osimhen, Super Eagles forward, opened his Napoli’s scoring sheet with a hat-trick for the Serie A giants in a pre-season game on Friday.
Osimhen, who recently joined the Gli Azzurri, also recorded an assist in the 11-0 thrashing of L’Aquila, an Italian fourth division club side.
The 21-year-old netted his Napoli’s first goal just 59 seconds into the game.
The former Lille player netted his second and third in the 3rd and 8th minutes respectively.
Dries Martens, Hirving Lozano, Ghoulam Faouzi and Lorenzo Insigne are the other scorers for Napoli.
Osimhen described signing for Napoli as a dream come true for him. He also said it has nothing to do with money during his unveiling on Wednesday.
The €71m talented forward was unveiled at Napoli’s pre-season camp at Castel di Sangro.
“Being here means that I have taken a big leap. I’m not interested in money. I intend to give my best,” he had said.
