Victor Osimhen was shown a red card as Napoli lost 2-0 to Roma in their Italian Serie A encounter on Saturday night.
The 24-year-old Nigerian striker, who extended his contract with the club earlier today, was sent off following two bad fouls in the space of 12 minutes.
Napoli were down by a man and also behind by a goal when Osimhen was shown the red card.
Matteo Politano, his strike partner, had earlier been sent off in the ill-tempered encounter that saw 11 yellow cards and coaches of both clubs booked for complaining.

Jose Mourinho, Roma manager, had confronted Osimhen earlier in the first half, accusing him of play-acting. Mourinho was referring to an earlier incident in which Osimhen appealed for a penalty kick following a perceived foul.
The episode ended with Mourinho giving the former Lille striker a kiss on the cheek.
Osimhen thereafter received his first yellow card on 75 minutes before bagging the second on 87 minutes, receiving a dismissal he furiously disagreed with.

It is the second red card of Osimhen’s career with the club.
Romelu Lukaku, Roma striker, finished off the wobbling Serie A champions with the second goal deep in added time after Lorenzo Pellegrini put them ahead on 76 minutes.
Napoli dropped to seventh position on the Serie A log with 27 points from 17 matches, displaced by Roma who climbed above the Neapolitans with the win.
