Against Inter Milan, the on-loan Chelsea defender contributed immensely to his team’s 1-0 win.

Kenneth Omeruo – Leganes

An absolute giant at the back, he made a number of crucial interceptions and also the strength to go forward and help up front. His team drew 2-2.

Semi Ajayi – Rotherham United

It was a sad day for the home fans as they needed the three points against Leeds United. Their Nigerian import scored but they lost 2-1.

Taiwo Awoniyi – Royal Excel Mouscron

Ice cold as usual from the blast of the whistle. His goal was well taken as Mouscron won 2-1 at Genk.

Samuel Nnamani – Elkilstuna United

The lad put in another fantastic performance against Syrianska, scoring a brace.

Hope Akpan – Bradford City

He was perfect defensively and scored his side’s leveller in the 1-1 draw at Burton Albion.

David Okereke – Spezia

In an eight-goal thriller that saw points shared, Okereke accounted for a goal and an assist.

Chuba Akpom – PAOK

That he is yet to make an official Super Eagles debut is one of the biggest mysteries in Nigerian football. At the weekend, he scored a brace, and was useful to the team in many departments.

Victor Osimhen – Sporting Charleroi

Osimhen has scored nine goals in 18 league games for Sporting Charleroi. He capped a great comeback for his team with the equaliser against Waasland Beveren. When he gets chances, he scores.

Isaac Success – Watford

A lovely celebration – look it up – as icing on the cake of a great goal and an all round performance at Newcastle United.
