Victor Osimhen has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time in 2021.
Napoli, the Italian football giants, confirmed the Nigerian forward’s COVID-19 status on its Twitter handle on Thursday.
The Italian club added that the former Wolfsburg striker has since been in isolation.
This will be the second time the 22-year-old will be testing positive for the deadly virus within one year.

TheCable reported that Osimhen first tested positive to COVID-19 on January 1, 2021.

The Italian side also said that another test will be conducted on Osihmen on Friday to confirm his COVID-19 status.
The former Lille player was listed in the 28-man squad for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) slated for Cameroon in less than eleven days.
Osimhen’s availability for the AFCON has raised some dust as he is currently recovering from a face injury.

There have also been back and forth disagreements between the Seria A giants and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on his match fitness level before the start of the biennial African showpiece.
