Victor Osimhen, Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, has returned positive for COVID-19, his Italian club confirmed on Friday evening.
The 21-year-old Nigerian international, who has been sidelined since last November after an injury to his shoulder while representing his country in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, had returned to the club on Thursday after his Christmas break.
In a short statement on Twitter, Napoli said upon arrival, the former Lille player was subjected to the compulsory COVID-19 PCR test and his result came out positive.
