Acting President Yemi Osinbajo says the executive will continue to engage the legislature and not confront it on issues.
Speaking at a special session to mark the second anniversary of the 8th house of representatives, Osinbajo said the executive appreciates the power of the legislature.
“We appreciate the powers of the legislature; we will in our relationship with you, continually relate on the basis of honour for each other. We will only engage, we will not confront you,” Osinbajo who was represented Ita Enang, senior special adviser to the president on national assembly matters, said.
“We thank you, we congratulate you for the two years of your existence, and we wish you the best in the remaining years of your service.”

On his part, Bukola Saraki, senate president, said the two chambers of the national assembly would continue to collaborate on legislation for the country.
Saraki who was represented by Dino Melaye, senator representing Kogi west, the senate and the house were inseparable twins.
He added the house had done well in the last two years.
