Osinbajo to speak at virtual conference on law and technologies

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo will deliver the keynote address at Nigeria’s first national law and technologies virtual conference.

The conference, which has its theme “a new paradigm in justice delivery”, will take place on August 13 and August 14, 2020.

According to Law Pavilion Business Solutions Limited, a legal technology solutions company, and Telnet Group, the organisers, the programme is designed to bring stakeholders in the judicial sector as well as the technology community in Nigeria  to discuss on “how technology is disrupting the law practice and the Justice delivery system now and how it will in the future.”

In a statement, Ope Olugasa, managing director of Law Pavilion, said: “The first panel discussion of the LegalTech conference 2020 will focus on the role of an efficient justice system in driving the wheel of innovation and economic growth in Nigeria.”

He said Participants will also “understand the relationship and interdependence between law, technology and, the corporate industries, and how to position yourself strategically in the new paradigm.”

Other keynote speakers are Gbenga Sesan, executive director Paradigm Intuitive; Nankunda Kataganza, co-founder Africa Legal Tech Network; Seun Abimbola, Prime Solicitors partner; Raymon Mgbeokwere, general counsel, First Bank of Nigeria; Dapo Akinosun, partner, SimmonsCooper Partners and Folorunsho Aliu, managing director of Telnet Nigeria Limited.

Olugasa urged Nigerians to take advantage of the conference to be part of discussions.
