Oyedotun Babayemi, former governorship aspirant in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says he has no regrets over challenging Ademola Adeleke at the supreme court.
Babayemi said this in a statement on Friday while reacting to a recent judgment made by the supreme court.
The development comes hours after the supreme court affirmed Adeleke as the duly elected governorship candidate of the PDP.
Babayemi had taken Adeleke before a federal high court in Osogbo, seeking to be declared as the PDP candidate for the July 16 governorship election in Osun state.

Two factions of the party had, on March 8, conducted separate governorship primaries featuring Adeleke and Babayemi.
Babayemi was declared the winner of the primary held at the Children and Women Development Centre in Osogbo, while the primary held at Osogbo City Stadium and backed by the PDP national working committee produced Adeleke.
In a list of candidates later released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Adeleke was recognised as the duly-elected candidate for the PDP.

Speaking on Friday, Babayemi congratulated Adeleke on winning the governorship election.
“I want to wish the Governor-elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the PDP and the good people of Osun the very best as a new administration under the PDP prepares to berth in Osun,” he said.
“I pray it will bring about the long awaited turnaround to the state and its people.
“For us, the legal journey was a long walk and worthwhile with no iota of regret. The kernel of our case at the Supreme Court was not reviewed as it was decided on technical grounds. Above all, no regrets.”
