Felix Obuah, chairman of the Rivers state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says the doors of his party is open for members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
In a statement issued on his behalf by Jerry Needam, his spokesman, Obuah advised APC members to join Nyesom Wike, governor of the state, to move the Rivers forward.
He said Wike’s olive branch to the APC is “born out of open mindedness and genuine love for all irrespective of party affiliations and most importantly, a burning desire to lift the state from a primordial base of precarious politics to that, directed by sound, progressive and patriotic statesmen”.
He enjoined ward chairmen of the PDP in the state to accept APC members willing to join the PDP.

He assured such persons that the PDP would accord them due respect and treat them fairly with all opportunities possible extended to all, saying Wike’s “administration has come to stay to show the light for all to follow”
