Over 1,000 benefit as NGO organises food outreach in Lagos

The Food Meets Naija (FMN) End Hunger Initiative, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has organised a food outreach for residents of Lagos.

The outreach, which was the fifth edition of the NGO’s annual ‘Charity With Food’ initiative, held in December 2023 at the Kings College Annex, Lagos.

Alongside the distribution of food items to participants, the event also featured a novelty match, funfair for kids, medical outreach for the elderly, networking sessions, and game activities.

Speaking on the outreach, Abiodun Adeoba, founder of the FMN End Hunger Initiative, said the goal of the event was to provide food support to 1,000 children and 2,000 families.

He said the outreach also aims to address the multifaceted challenges of hunger and malnutrition.

He said through the generous contributions, the event touched the lives of not only the direct beneficiaries but the entire community.

“The initiative continues to be a beacon of hope, fostering a sense of togetherness in the fight against hunger,” he said.
