The Oyo state government says three COVID-19 patients have been discharged from its isolation centre.
Seyi Makinde, governor of the state, announced the development via Twitter on Tuesday.
According to Makinde, the latest development brings the number of discharged cases in the state to 17.
He asked residents of the state to call the emergency operation centre if travellers from other states are sighted in their neighbourhood.

“Three confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to seventeen,” he said.
“Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for two suspected cases came back POSITIVE. One case in Ibadan North and one case in Ibadan North West. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at 8 PM today, is sixty-seven.”

As of 11:56 pm on Tuesday, Oyo has 69 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
The state has also recorded two fatalities from the disease.
