Oyo gives property developers 30-day ultimatum to pull down illegal structures

The Oyo state government has given a 30-day ultimatum to property developers in the state to pull down their illegal structures or face the wrath of the government.

Waheed Gbadamosi, director general of the Bureau of Physical Planning and Development Control, stated this in a statement issued on Tuesday.

Gbadamosi advised the people of the state to be compliant with the necessary planning laws and building instructions so as to avert any danger.

The government has also urged the people to secure building plan approvals in line with the laws of the state and federation with the Bureau and its zonal offices alone.

“The compliance with this directive will be for a period of 30 days after which the offending developers with such fake papers will be dealt with in accordance with the planning laws.
