Oyo-Ita confirmed as head of service

Winifred Oyo-Ita has been confirmed as the head of service of the federation after acting for almost four months.

President Muhammadu Buhari appointed her in an acting position in October 2015 when Danladi Kifasi was asked to proceed on terminal leave.

Oyo-Ita was on Wednesday inaugurated as substantive HOS at the expiration of Kifasi’s leave, shortly before the commencement of the federal executive council meeting presided over by Buhari.

Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, read her citation after which she took her oath of office and oath of allegiance.

Oyo-Ita was, until her appointment, the permanent secretary of the ministry of science and technology.

She is from Odukpani in Cross River state.
