The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has informed motorists about the traffic gridlock caused by a truck dangling from a bridge along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
According to a video shared by LASTMA on Tuesday, the truck is currently flapping over the railings of the Kara bridge along the expressway, resulting in a lengthy traffic jam along the axis.
Speaking on the incident on its official Twitter handle, LASTMA said the incident was “multiple accidents” which happened at 2 am midnight on Tuesday.
It added that the accident caused a traffic jam “spreading towards Secretariat”.

“Multiple accident after Enyo filling station inward Kara occurred at around 2:00am, some of the vehicles involved have been moved off the road except a trailer that is still taken 70% of the road, the backlog is spreading towards Secretariat,” the tweet read.
A few hours later, the agency said some of the obstructions have been cleared while pleading for patience from motorists.
“Good news! Impediment has been fully recovered, though backlog of traffic is still at Tollgate presently, but expect to fade off soon. Patience required!” the tweet read.
