Muhammed Isa, senior special assistant (SSA) to President Bola Tinubu on disability matters, and Muhammad Pate, minister of health, are collaborating to enhance accessibility to healthcare for People With Disabilities (PWDs).
During a courtesy visit by Isa to the minister on Wednesday, the aide emphasised the need to increase training and awareness on disability matters among healthcare professionals.
He also spoke about the importance of ensuring equal access to healthcare and other services for PWDs.
Pate agreed on the need to prioritise accessibility to socio-economic opportunities for the disability community while formulating policies and programmes.

They also agreed that training healthcare workers on inclusive communication is a necessary first step.
