Governor of Kaduna state, Mukhtar Yero, and his deputy, Nuhu Bajoga, have received the support of stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in their respective local government areas of origin.
Ahmed Maiyaki, the director-general on media and publicity to the governor, said the people of Zaria and Jaba local government areas in the state had expressed support for continuity of the administration in 2015.
“Led by the chairman, Zaria local government area, Alhaji Lawal Balarabe, leaders of the party in the area stormed Kaduna government house to declare support for Yero, describing him as the ‘worthy candidate’ to fly the PDP flag in 2015,” Maiyaki said in a statement.
“The time has come for us as leaders and members of the PDP from the governor’s home to show our support for him. From today until he is sworn in as Governor on May 29, 2015, we shall not rest and we are ready to face all challenges in achieving this target.”

The statement further added that the leadership qualities, vision and the transformation of human capacity development of the administration necessitated the support.
Similarly, Yahaya Suleiman, the chairman of Jaba council, has said that stakeholders of the PDP in the area, have endorsed the Jonathan-Sambo and Yero-Bajoga tickets for 2015.
He said the stakeholders were convinced and satisfied with the performance of President Goodluck Jonathan and vice president Namadi Sambo.

Suleiman expressed support for the presidential endorsement by the PDP board of trustees, national working committee, central working committee, the PDP governors forum and PDP lawmakers in the national assembly.
“The PDP in Jaba local government area also endorses the candidature of Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero and our own, Amb. Nuhu Audu Bajoga as his running mate, for peace and development of Kaduna State,” he said in a communique.
The communique was co-signed by a former minister, Nuhu Wya; a former member of the house of representatives, Godfrey Ali Gaya; commissioner for health, Joseph Dogo and chairman of PDP in Jaba local government, Philip Gwadah.
