The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has opened Twitter accounts in three major Nigerian languages – Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo, as well as Pidgin English.
The establishment of the new indigenous accounts is to communicate effectively with Nigerians, PDP said in a statement on Saturday.
The opposition party said it has overcome its “leadership issues” and consequently, it is carrying out a reorganisation of its social media management team.
PDP says it has also “reconstituted” the handlers of its social media accounts while noting that more Nigerian languages will be added “in the coming days and weeks”.
