The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured all the votes in both Akwa Ibom governorship and house of assembly elections in the polling unit of Udom Emmanuel, governor of the state.
While Emmanuel who is seeking reelection polled 468 votes in unit 1, Awa ward 1, Onna local government area, Nsima Ekere, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored zero votes.
The results as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) also showed that PDP garnered 467 votes in the house of assembly election in the unit, leaving one vote for Peoples Coalition Party (PCP).
Similarly, the APC got all the votes in Unit 9, Ukana west ward 2, Essien Udim LGA, the polling unit of Godswill Akpabio, senator representing Akwa Ibom north-west, who is an APC chieftain.

Ekere scored all 1597 votes in the governorship election in the unit, while the APC also got 1596 in the house of assembly poll.
The PDP scored zero votes in both governorship and house of assembly election.
TheCable reported a voting pattern observed in the election on Saturday in which the APC and PDP are intimidating opponent’s voters in their respective strongholds.

The governorship election is mainly between Emmanuel and Ekere, although it features 45 candidates.
