PDP youth leader accuses INEC of doctoring reports on Kogi gov

Usman Okai, leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youths frontier, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of doctoring pending reports of its panel whih indicted Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi state.

In a statement on Saturday, Okai said the “muddled up reports call for serious concerns” as INEC had earlier accused Bello of double registration.

“Even INEC as the chief jester of the century issued a multiple press statement via the director, voters education and Registration,” he said.

“Osaze Iyamu affirmed the illegality orchestrated by Kogi governor to muddle up the electoral process in all its sites and media outlets, how come the sudden about turn?

“I challenge the INEC to carry out a forensic examination of the pictures of its staff that caught the governor carrying out illegal and double registration in his office, a decision alien to the operations of the commission.”

He advised INEC to “without further delay and unequivocally nip in the bud, plans by its Kogi office in conjunction with the headquarters to doctor the reports of the panel.”

“The impending reports show clearly how dangerous the electoral body has been operating its system. You cannot cry more than the bereaved.”
