Peace beckons – A new dawn in south-east

By Onyinyechi Ojiaku

The Southeastern region of Nigeria, predominantly inhabited by the industrious people of Igbo land, has always been celebrated for its innovation and resilience. Renowned for turning challenges into opportunities, the people of the Southeast have historically thrived on a foundation of peace, contributing to individual and regional prosperity.

However, unfortunate events have caused a detour from our fundamental principles, resulting in the derailment of our socio-economic and political pursuits in the national landscape.

Violence and deviant actions have become ubiquitous, threatening the identity of a once boisterous zone.

At this critical time, a resonant call arises from within the community to reclaim the diminished glory of the region and restore its tranquility.

Peace in South East Project (PISE-P) is here. A novel idea that details a non-kinetic approach to achieving peace and rekindling the spirit of unity and love among the people of the south east.

Save the Date: December 29, 2023. A day for reunion, reintegration and reinvigoration of the good old ideals and values that the Nd’Igbo are known for.

On this day, the Southeast braces itself for the beginning of this transformational journey. An awakening that promises to guide the region back to its once-glorious status. United under the banner of PISE-P, the people will be poised to rewrite the narrative and usher in a new era of peace and prosperity.

Anticipate a renaissance that will reinvigorate all roots of prosperity, cooperation, mend the fabric of unity and reenact the region’s prominence in the socio-political dynamics of the nation.
