The deaf association in Abuja has organised a sign language training for Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) officers.
The Nigeria National Association of the Deaf Youth Section (NNADYS) put together the workshop with the view to raising awareness about sign language.
The workshop also sought to promote disability inclusion using sign language flashcards and improve the safety of the auditory impaired on Nigerian roads.
Through practical exercises facilitated by active youths with disabilities, the FRSC personnel said they gained considerable knowledge about sign language and how to relate better with the deaf.
