Peter Mbah appoints Channels TV anchor Akeredolu-Ale as MD of Enugu broadcasting service

Peter Mbah, governor of Enugu, has appointed Ladi Akeredolu-Ale, a broadcaster at Channels Television, as the new managing director of Enugu state Broadcasting Service (ESBS).

Before his appointment, Akeredolu-Ale was the controller of current affairs at Channels Television.

Mbah announced Akeredolu-Ale’s appointment on Tuesday via his Twitter page.

“I have appointed Mr Ladi Akeredolu-Ale, as the Managing Director of Enugu State Broadcasting Service (ESBS),” he wrote.

“Until this appointment, Ladi was the controller, of current affairs at Channels Television in Lagos state. He is an award-winning journalist and I expect him to bring to ESBS, his over 30 years of experience in journalism. 

“I’m hopeful that Mr Akeredolu-Ale would drive a media revolution, inspire drastic reforms in media innovation and creativity, and turn ESBS media service into one of the best revenue-generating organisations in Enugu state.”

Akeredolu-Ale had served as the chief executive officer at Ondo state Radio-Vision Corporation before he joined Channels Television.

He anchored the current affairs interview, Newsnight and the Russia-Ukraine invasion programmes on Channels Television. 

Ladi had his first degree in Sociology at the University of Ilorin and bagged a master’s degree in the same course at the University of Lagos. 

He is also an alumnus of the Lagos Business School chief executive’s programme.
