Philanthropist gifts N1m to PWD graduates from Gombe varsity

Students with disabilities who graduated from Gombe State University (GSU) were gifted N1 million by Dauda Stanley, a philanthropist, during the university’s graduation ceremony which held last Saturday.

Since its establishment in 2006, GSU has graduated people with disabilities (PWDs) from disciplines spanning economics, political science, and Islamic studies.

The 2023 graduation ceremony was a combination of the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th sets of graduates.

A total of 5,326 students graduated from the combined sets. Nineteen of these graduates were PWDs.
