President Muhammadu Buhari was in Medina, southwestern Saudi Arabia, on Wednesday, “to pray for greater peace, prosperity and progress in Nigeria”.
He was accompanied by four governors: Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), Abdul Aziz Yari (Zamfara), Bello Masari (Katsina) and Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun).
From Medina, he proceeded to Mecca. And Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity, has now released photos of the president performing Umrah in Muslims’ holiest city, in the company of Muhammadu Sanusi II, emir of Kano; and Ibikunle Amosun, governor of Ogun state, dressed in full prayer regalia.
