The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Saturday defeated the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon to qualify for the quarter-final at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
An Ademola Lookman’s brace was the vital difference between the two teams at the Stade Félix Houphouet-Boigny, Abidjan.
The Super Eagles were solid defensively and limited the Cameroonians to zero shot on target. Nigeria put away their chances in a nail-biting clash that was mostly on a knife edge.
Osimhen showed brawn, industry and passion, while Lookman’s positioning was brilliant.
