A cylinder from the truck
At least 14 vehicles were burnt on the Abuja-Keffi expressway on Wednesday after a compressed natural gas (CNG)-powered truck rammed into a petrol tanker.
A gas leak was still visible from one of the CNG cylinders when TheCable visited the accident scene on Thursday morning.
According to Isa, an eyewitness, the explosion occurred when the CNG truck driver lost control of his vehicle. The articulated truck crashed into several vehicles.
He recalled that the driver warned people to flee, fearing the gas cylinders might explode.
