The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Dawakin ward under Tofa LGA of Kano on Wednesday paid a visit to Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the party, in Abuja.
In a statement on the X account of the APC, the party said the executives were on a solidarity visit to the former governor of Kano following media reports of his alleged suspension.
“The national chairman, Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje, received his legitimate LGA & Ward executives from Kano State on a solidarity visit in the aftermath of media reports of his purported suspension from the Party by an imposter Executive Committee of Ganduje Ward in Dawakin Tofa LGA,” the statement reads.
On April 15, Ganduje was purportedly suspended by the APC executives in Dawakin ward over alleged corruption.

However, the state committee of the APC in Kano nullified the suspension and sanctioned the ward executives.
In the early hours of Wednesday, the Kano state high court affirmed the suspension of Ganduje.
The court, while granting an ex parte order, also restrained Ganduje from further parading himself as a member of the APC.

Last week, the Kano high court announced that Ganduje would be arraigned on April 17 over allegations of bribery, diversion, and misappropriation of public funds.
