The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the launch of its digital membership registration nationwide.
The announcement was made in a statement released by the ruling party on its X page on Wednesday, following the signing of an agreement with consultants to carry out the exercise.
“The strategic agreement with our consultants will modernise, strengthen and digitize our membership register,” the statement reads.
“The initiative marks a significant shift from an analogue to a digital membership database.”

Present during the signing of the agreement were Abdullahi Ganduje, national chairman of the APC; Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo; and Usman Ododo, governor of Kogi, among others.
In 2021, Kola Ologbondiyan, the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the time, said the nationwide membership registration exercise of the APC was “a scam”.
Ologbondiyan had accused the ruling party of working towards fictitious data to amass more votes for itself ahead of the 2023 general election.
