Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has travelled out of the country to Europe.
Paul Ibe, his media adviser, said the former vice-president left Nigeria on Monday night.
While on the scheduled visit, Ibe said Abubakar is expected to meet with the technical partners of one of his businesses affected by the lockdown resulting from the COVID pandemic.
Ibe said the meeting would focus on a conclusive discussion for a planned expansion of Abubakar’s businesses.

Meanwhile, the development comes after Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister of aviation, had claimed that Abubakar travelled to Paris to seek medical attention.
In a tweet earlier on Tuesday, Fani-Kayode had said Abubakar collapsed after complaining of headache and severe pains in his head during a flight to Abuja from Kaduna on Monday.
