Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), met with Charles Soludo, governor of Anambra, on Thursday.
The meeting took place at the government house in Awka, capital of the state.
Abubakar, including members of the PDP national working committee (NWC) and national executive committee (NEC), are in the state for a presidential campaign rally.
In a series of tweets, Abubakar said he received a warm reception from the governor.

“I paid a courtesy call at the Anambra Government House, and I am most delighted for the warm and brotherly reception accorded my team and I by Governor Charles Soludo,” he wrote.
“I admire his passion for developmental politics. It’s gladdening to note that we share a similar commitment to the promotion of good governance to better the lots of the common people.”
